IN 2006, four Loyalsock seniors finished their high school football careers with the distinction of achieving over 1,000 yards at their respective positions: QB Pat Carey, WR Will Kelly, WR Eddie Pinkerton and TB Jamil McGee.

Tailback McGee rolled up 1,650 yards along with 12 TDs during his 3-year career.

Wide Receiver Pinkerton pulled down 89 catches racking up 1,333 receiving yards and 12 TD receptions--placing him in 5th place on the school's Career TD reception list.

Carey Etches Place in PIAA History

Patrick
Patrick Carey finished his distinctive, four year high school football career with 6,409 passing yards--a feat that places him in 11th place in the PIAA Record Book. Pennsylvania's top 100 QBs who have passed for at least 4,000 yards reads like a "Who's Who in College Football." Three of the more noteable signal-callers include #3--Ron Powlus (7,342 yds)--standout at Notre Dame, #5--Chad Henne (7,071 yds)--starting QB for the Michigan Wolverines, and #37--Anthony Morelli (5,371 yds)--starting QB for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Carey nailed down top honors in the District 4 history book. His 6,409 passing yards pushed him past #12 Dave Shinskie (Mount Carmel Area), #14 Mike Stout (Selinsgrove), #24 Derek Pope (Selinsgrove), and #36 Glenn Smith (Warrior Run).

Carey soared past all previous Lancer passing records, finishing his high school career with 55 TD tosses while accumulating 6,409 passing yards--both are career records that will very likely stand for a long, long time. In 2006 Pat tossed 20 TD aerials--a new single season record

As a Sophmore, Carey earned Honorable Mention recognition on the Central Susquehanna Conference (CSC) All-Conference Team. In 2005 and again in 2006 Patrick was selected as First Team QB for the CSC All Conference squad. In 2005, the Loyalsock QB was chosen for 1st Team District 4 North All-Stars -- he was selected again in 2006 as the North's 1st Team QB. Kelly Repeats as All-State Player

Will
Will Kelly was selected as Wide Receiver--Second Team All-State in December 2006. Kelly was selected in 2005 as an All-State Tight End making him the only LTHS player to earn All-State honors in consecutive years at two different positions.

The three-sport varsity athlete finished his LTHS senior season with selections to the First Team All Conference (CSC), First Team All District (IV), Receiver of the Year, and Sun Gazette All Star Team. At graduation, he was recognized as the PIAA District IV Male Athlete of the Year.

As a three-year Varsity starter, Kelly caught 103 passes for 1,363 yards -- the 3rd highest total of career receiving yards. His 16 career TDs moves him into 2nd place on the Career TD Reception list. Kelly's 10 TDs in 2006 places him in 2nd place on the Season TD reception list.
